Jim is a Health Economist with 20 years of experience in health care data analysis, reporting and forecasting. His graduate work and Master’s degree from the University of Arizona focused on Econometric analysis and health care, providing a strong academic backbone to his work.
Jim spent seven years with a large regional health insurer where, as Director of Health Economics, he oversaw all analytical reporting and survey research.
Jim has devoted substantial time to disease state management research and worked with the National Committee for Quality Assurance in the development of the original ‘Quality Dividend Calculator’, quantifying the impact of disease management on absenteeism and presenteeism.
In recent years, Jim has had extensive experience as a health plan data systems auditor and was a NCQA Certified HEDIS™ Compliance Auditor. Jim has performed more than 90 HEDIS, P4P, and other Performance Measure audits at a variety of health plans and provider groups throughout the country.
Jim’s responsibilities at Altegra Health include predictive modeling, forecasting, demographic analysis, and analytical reporting.
