Dr. Horwitz is the Medical Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona He received a B.S. degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois, and a PhD (Immunology and Molecular Biology) from the University of Florida, and his MD from the University of Illinois. Dr. Horwitz completed his residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals (Case Western Reserve University) in Cleveland. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health studying rheumatologic disorders, followed by a three-year fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he specialized in asthma and allergic disease management. He then served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, and at the VA Medical Center, in Madison. He completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in 2003.
